New York Military Academy is pleased to welcome nearly 100 students back to campus for the new school year!
This fall brings a number of exciting changes to NYMA. Over the summer, the school completed several campus improvements, including newly paved roads, updated residential and academic spaces, and a new wrestling room for the girls’ program. NYMA also welcomed new teachers and staff members as the school continues to grow.
The start of the school year has already been an active one. In September, NYMA cadets participated in community service activities and joined the local community in observing the September 11 memorial ceremonies. These opportunities are an important part of the school’s emphasis on character, leadership, and service.
NYMA is proud to be part of Cornwall-on-Hudson and the greater Cornwall community. The school looks forward to continuing to strengthen local partnerships and creating more opportunities for cadets to serve, participate, and contribute throughout the year.
“We are very excited about the year ahead,” said Headmaster Sunny Doman. “There is a real sense of momentum on campus. We are growing, improving our facilities, welcoming new faculty and students, and continuing to focus on the values that define NYMA. Just as importantly, we want our cadets to understand that being part of NYMA also means being an active and responsible member of the Cornwall community.”
NYMA wishes all local students, families, educators, and schools a successful school year.
